About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant with a strong technical background to join our finance department for a Fixed-Term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers ownership of key financial processes and technical challenges. The successful candidate will be a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with strong analytical and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Preparation of month end close including journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
* Bank and balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts
* Process and review of commissions, billing and trade creditor payments
* Provide technical guidance in accordance with accounting standards
* Support in year end audit processes including year end adjustments and financial statement note preparation
* Contribute to process improvements within the finance team to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial accounting
Skill and experience required:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CA qualified
* 3+ years in an accounting role
* Proficient in general ledger and financial reporting systems, preferably with experience using Netsuite
* High attention to detail and the ability to follow through with request for information
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to improve process efficiency
