**About the Role**
Reporting to the Executive Manager Fundraising and Events, the Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and evaluating fundraising events to support Activs strategic objectives. Your efforts will contribute to diversifying our revenue streams, expanding our brand reach, engaging the community, and enhancing our financial sustainability.
**A typical day may include**:
- Collaborating with the marketing and communications team to develop branding and marketing strategies tailored to each event.
- Developing project management plans and business proposals for individual events and broader events strategies.
- Cultivating essential relationships with partner organisations and complying with media requirements aligned with Activs media policy.
- Conducting research, feasibility studies, and plans for new and profitable event opportunities.
- Leading public relations efforts and promotional initiatives for Activs events program.
- Inspiring internal and external stakeholders to embrace appropriate risk-taking behaviours and explore unconventional problem-solving approaches.
- Be passionate about providing service and assistance in the community
- Have previous experience in event management or a similar marketing environment
- Be experienced in Peer to Peer fundraising
- Be an inspirational leader who is comfortable with change management
- Demonstrate capability in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors
- Have either a Marketing/Business degree/qualification or equivalent hands-on marketing and events experience
