ABOUT THE ROLE

Kilcoy Global Foods currently has permanent opportunities for Mechanical Technician to join our team in a fast-paced, 24 / 7 beef production environment. Work environments will vary from agricultural, production, refrigeration, biomass boiler and rendering.
Lead and participate in internal and external meetings and forums related to the Maintenance function.
Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety Act obligations, including identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards.
Maintain consistent quality control and work practices to optimise plant efficiency and minimise production downtime.
Conduct statutory checks and audits to meet internal and external regulatory compliance requirements.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop preventative maintenance schedules, analyse performance data, and implement operational improvements.
Manage and coordinate allocated projects from planning to commissioning, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets.
REMUNERATION
Night Shift $***** per hour.
Day shift $***** per hour.
ROSTER
Night Shift | 16 : ******* : 00hrs.
Day Shift | ********* : 00hrs.
5 days on, 4 days off then 4 days on, 5 days off.
ABOUT YOU
Previous experience in a similar maintenance role.
Proven ability to manage engineering and maintenance functions across large manufacturing or FMCG sites.
Experienced in managing capital expenditure and leading large-scale project teams.
Strong leadership skills with experience in team management.
Holds a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Plant Engineering.
Develop and document relevant technical specifications.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers or contractors.
Negotiate and purchase required project resources.
Oversee installation and commissioning of buildings and equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and great diagnostics for fault finding.
Reliable, motivated self-starter.
Can-do attitude, focusing on solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills and communication skills.
FMCG or manufacturing environment (highly regarded).
Beef slaughter process equipment (highly regarded).
Associated downstream offal and rendering plant and equipment (highly regarded).
Downstream processing (boning, chilling, packaging, labelling and transfer systems) (highly regarded).
Unlimited working rights within Australia.
Ability to work alongside a diverse workforce.
Drivers licence and reliable vehicle, or reliable means of getting to work.
Vaccinated (or willing to be) against Q Fever.
