Due to company expansion, we are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Events and Digital Marketing Specialist to join our Open Platform Business Group in Sydney, reporting to the Head of Marketing - OP BG.
The Events and Digital Marketing Specialist is crucial for enhancing ASUS brand presence within the gaming community and engaging our audience across digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be passionate about gaming, possess strong organisational skills for event execution, and be adept at crafting compelling social media content. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands‐on execution, and administrative support to ensure successful campaigns and events.
Gaming Event Execution
* Planning & Logistics: Assist in the end-to-end planning, organisation, and execution of gaming events. This includes venue selection, vendor management, equipment coordination, and scheduling;
* Budget Management: Support in developing and managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness;
* Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies for events, leveraging digital channels to maximise attendance and engagement;
* On‐site Management: Oversee event setup, registration, attendee experience, and breakdown, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for participants;
* Post-Event Analysis: Collect feedback, analyse event performance metrics, and prepare post-event reports to identify areas for improvement and measure ROI.
Social Media Content Creation & Scheduling
* Content Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of our social media content strategy, aligning with overall marketing goals and brand voice;
* Content Creation: Generate engaging and high-quality content for various social media platforms, specifically tailored to appeal to the gaming audience;
* Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar, ensuring consistent posting and optimal timing;
* Scheduling & Publishing: Utilise social media management tools to schedule and publish content across all platforms;
* Community Engagement: Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions; engage with the community, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online environment;
* Performance Tracking: Track, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics to optimise future content and strategies. Stay updated on social media trends and algorithm changes.
Administrative Support
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of event plans, social media calendars, content assets, and performance reports;
* Vendor & Partner Relations: Assist in communication and coordination with event vendors, influencers, and community partners;
* Reporting: Prepare regular reports on event progress, social media performance, and other marketing activities as required;
* General Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the marketing team as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Public Relations, or a related field
* Experience: 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, and/or event coordination, preferably within the gaming, entertainment, or tech industry.
* Gaming Passion: A genuine passion for and understanding of the gaming industry, including current trends, communities, and platforms.
* Social Media Expertise: Proven experience managing and growing social media channels, with a strong understanding of different platform nuances and best practices.
* Content Creation Skills: Demonstrated ability to create compelling written and visual content. Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite basics) and/or video editing is a plus.
* Event Management Skills: Experience in planning and executing events, from small community gatherings to larger-scale activations.
* Organisational Skills: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
* Problem‐Solving: Proactive problem‐solver with the ability to think on their feet during live events.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‐paced environment and contribute positively to team goals.
