About the Role
As an FFE / BME Coordinator, you will lead the technical specification, procurement, integration, and commissioning of biomedical equipment across hospital and health projects. Working autonomously within a compact team, you will bridge clinical needs, engineering design, and commercial outcomes, ensuring every device integrates seamlessly into the built setting and delivers maximum clinical and financial value.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage hospital staff to define functional, technical, and workflow requirements.
- Translate clinical needs into precise, compliant equipment specifications (e.g., MRI, CT, sterilisers, patient monitors, surgical lights).
- Lead technical and commercial evaluation of supplier responses.
- Manage logistics, factory acceptance testing (FAT) where required, and site delivery.
- Supervise installation, integration testing, and clinical handover.
- Deliver complete asset registers, manuals, training records, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Validate full integration of equipment with power, data, cooling, shielding, weight loads, access, and infection control requirements.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience as a Biomedical Engineer in a hospital environment (clinical engineering, equipment planning, or maintenance).
- Proven procurement experience in biomedical equipment (tendering, evaluation, contract management).
- Demonstrated ability to engage with high-performing clinical specialists in high-stress, time-critical settings.
- Confident, clear communication.
