We're looking for a Part-Time Mine Geologist to join our Technical Services team. Whether you're early in your geology career, a recent graduate wanting practical exposure, or an experienced geologist looking to reduce your hours, this role offers the flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you'll maintain geological information and provide support to operational teams. You'll provide hands on expertise in mine geology, mapping, modelling and daily operational interactions.
What You'll Do
* Maintain and update the geological model for current and future mining areas.
* Conduct geotechnical inspections and geological mapping (horizon control, coal quality, structure).
* Provide timely geological information to operational personnel.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment and follow site risk management practices.
* Liaise with mine management and support technical services activities as required.
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Geology or related discipline
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
* Understanding of safe work practices and a proactive approach to safety.
* Previous open cut mining experience
