Management Accountant – Independent School

We are partnering with a highly regarded independent on Sydney's North Shore to appoint a
Management Accountant
. This diverse and operational role supports the Business Manager and Chief Operating Officer across all areas of financial management, with a particular focus on payroll, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to guide decision-making and ensure compliance.
Key Highlights:
Lead payroll oversight, including review, reporting, and cost analysis
Deliver management accounts, reconciliations, and financial analysis to support leadership and Board reporting
Support treasury functions, compliance, and annual audit processes
Drive efficiencies, internal controls, and system improvements across the Business Office
Contribute to the school's community values and mission through professional service
About You:
CPA/CA qualified (or working towards)
Minimum 2+ years accounting experience with payroll oversight
Strong analytical and reporting skills, ideally with Power BI or similar tools
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across academic and professional staff
Experience in education or not-for-profit settings desirable
