FIFO Machine Operator – Multiple Rosters Available
Protech are looking for experienced Machine Operators to perform work with our client, with multiple projects based in the Northern Territory and South Australia on a FIFO basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Pay rate: $43.50–$60 per hour, depending on experience and site/project
* Super on ALL HOURS
* Available Rosters: 2/1 or 8/6
* Contractor Casual positions
* Opportunities to work across multiple civil earthworks projects
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operate earth-moving machinery assisting with various civil projects being exposed to the desert heat, rain, uneven ground conditions and an isolated environment:
o Grader
o Dozer
o Excavator
o Loader
o Moxy/Watercart
o Skid steer
o Backhoe
o Forklift
o Roller
1. Carry out earthworks and tailings dam construction activities
2. Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment
3. Complete pre-starts, basic maintenance checks, and equipment reporting
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Construction White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience in civil or mining machine operation of the above machinery listed (essential)
* Crusher operator experience (Desirable)
* High Risk Work Licence – EWP, RI, LF (Desirable)
* GPS experience (particularly for dozer and grader roles) (Desirable)
* Ability to maintain fitness for work, pass a pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol testing.
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
* Strong understanding and adherence to OHS
