Financial Manager Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank reconciliations.
They will also be responsible for preparing and submitting BAS in line with ATO requirements.
Additionally, they will administer superannuation contributions and ensure timely compliance with regulations.
They will produce weekly profit and loss reports to provide the Director with up-to-date business performance insights.
Monthly and quarterly financial reports, including cash flow forecasts, will also be prepared.
Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and the ATO when required is also an essential part of this role.
Responsibilities include monitoring expenses, payroll, and job costings to support business efficiency.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring they are audit-ready is crucial.
Key Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
* Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management is essential.
* Xero or similar accounting software expertise is necessary.
* A solid understanding of BAS, GST, PAYG, and superannuation compliance is also required.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are crucial.
* The ability to prepare accurate financial reports and communicate results clearly to management is vital.
* A proactive, reliable, and independent work approach is expected.
