**Job Purpose**
An exciting opportunity for a Container Surveyor to join our growing team on _AFTERNOON SHIFT. _
This role will be responsible for conducting container/cargo pre-damage inspections and cross-check logístical data to ensure accuracy and efficiency when containers are delivered into container yard.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Conduct inspection of incoming containers to shipping line and IICL standards
- Prepare and process quotes for repairs to containers
- Collaborate with Maintenance & Repair team to determine specific grade requirements for containers dependent to shipping line requirements
- Use internal computer systems to complete quotes and recordings associated with cargo standards
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) certifications are desirable but not essential.
- Minimum 2 years container surveying experience
- Experience using Container Chain (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Container Parks/Empty Depots
- Need to be prepared to work outdoors in cold/hot/wet conditions every day
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of CEDEX coding (advantageous)
