OverviewThe RoleAs the Events and Engagement Coordinator you will work under limited direction to coordinate a range of events and award functions predominately at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG).
Your role will include but is not limited to:Stakeholder engagement with Defence personnel, VIPs and strategic partnersDrafting communication materials associated with events including but not limited to marketing materials, talking points, run sheets, MC notes, social media posts and briefsCoordinating strategically-aligned event and visit programs and experiences, including all logistics, security and access requirementsComprehensive record keeping and reportingRepresenting DSTG at events, escorting and supporting site visits as requiredSupporting the Assistant Director Events and Awards for locally based award presentations and nominationsBeing part of a supportive, geographically dispersed team, but staying in regular contact with the full team virtually.About our TeamAs a multidisciplinary team of trusted communication experts, Defence Science Communications works with all parts of DSTG as an advisory body, service provider and conduit of information.

You will use initiative and be open to developing recent and improved ways of working and constantly looking for ways to improve our service offering to ensure our output is of the highest order.
