About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern with AutoCAD experience to support our engineering team in updating and creating manufacturing plant layouts for heavy-duty truck production. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial engineering, factory design, and real-world manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Update existing factory layout drawings using AutoCADDevelop new layout designs for production lines, equipment, and workflow optimizationInterpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical dataCollaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure layout accuracyMaintain organized drawing files and revision recordsAssist with space utilization and process improvement projects
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fieldProficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus)Strong attention to detail and technical accuracyAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsGood communication and teamwork skillsBasic understanding of manufacturing processes is desirable
Preferred Qualifications
Previous internship or academic project involving plant layouts or production systemsFamiliarity with heavy industry, machinery, or automotive manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of lean manufacturing or workflow optimization concepts
