About Us

We strive to improve the lives of older people by ensuring the integrity of the aged care system.

Our team supports the Regulation Operations Division (ROD) by undertaking quality assurance activities and providing recommendations for improvements to policies, processes, systems and training.

This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining operational process documents to support ROD in regulating effectively and implementing strategies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of provider registration, audit, compliance and enforcement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, review and continuously improve ROD's operational process documents to ensure compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks.
* Contribute to the development and review of Commission-wide policies and resources, providing high-quality input that incorporates operational insights, legislative understanding and stakeholder perspectives.
* Maintain various ROD registers, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and compliance with recordkeeping and governance standards.
* Develop subject matter expertise and interpret relevant legislation, providing analysis, insights and guidance on their implications for ROD operations, and contribute to the development of processes that support compliance and mitigate risk.
* Respond to ad-hoc requests for process-related information and resources, exercising sound judgement, effective prioritisation and discretion to ensure timely and appropriate outcomes that meet operational and strategic needs.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration, promote teamwork, advance initiatives and support cross-functional coordination.
* Identify opportunities for innovative ways of working, evaluating and implementing improvements that enhance operational efficiency, clarity and quality of work.
* Contribute to change planning, guide process implementation and assist colleagues to adapt to evolving priorities and ways of working or change management activities.
* Manage workflow and priorities independently subject to limited direction, maintaining accurate records and timely delivery of high-quality work outputs.
* Actively participate in the Commission's performance and development framework activities, engaging with relevant policies, identifying and pursuing professional development opportunities and supporting peers in their growth and capability uplift.

Requirements:

* Ability to develop, review and continuously improve operational process documents.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Knowledge of aged care industry and relevant legislation.
