About the role, as an employment law expert in a supportive and collaborative team environment you will work alongside a highly regarded partner and play an integral part in delivering high-quality work across a diverse range of employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Agreement Drafting and Interpretation: Draft employment and contractor agreements, interpret awards and enterprise agreements, and provide expert advice on compliance with workplace legislation.
* Compliance and Advisory Services: Advise on compliance with workplace legislation, privacy obligations, and employee entitlements. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure effective outcomes.
* Dispute Resolution: Manage workplace disputes, including resolution strategies and commercial proceedings. Provide guidance on negotiation techniques and conflict resolution methods.
* Employee Support: Guide employers through discrimination, equal opportunity, performance management, and conduct issues. Provide expert advice on employment law best practices.
* Termination and Redundancy: Oversee termination and redundancy processes to ensure lawful and effective outcomes. Develop strategies to minimize disruption and ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
* A solid foundation in employment law, with experience at Associate/Senior Associate level.
* A strong service mindset, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
* Exceptional communication and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Sharp attention to detail and polished drafting capability, with the ability to produce high-quality documents.
* The ability to work autonomously, while contributing strongly to a collaborative team environment.
