SYNOPSIS:
About the role
The SharePoint Administrator plays a critical role in supporting Treasury's SharePoint Online (SPO) environment, ensuring its stability, usability, and alignment with organisational goals. This role is embedded within the Integrations Unit of the Information Services Branch and supports both business-as-usual (BAU) operations and strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of the SPO service including site collections, permissions, term store, document library and list configurations.
* Implement and maintain Treasury's SPO information architecture, including hubs and global navigation structures that reflect Treasury's organisational hierarchy per our information management policies.
* Handle incoming support tickets and service requests related to SPO and M365 suite issues, access, and configuration. Provide timely resolution and escalate where necessary.
* Collaborate with business analysts and developers to automate SharePoint processes. Support Power Platform governance and contribute to the Centre of Excellence.
* Develop and deliver training materials for end users. Maintain SOPs and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
* Ensure SharePoint configurations comply with Treasury's security policies and FOI requirements. Participate in integration testing.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
* Demonstrated experience administering SPO and M365 environments.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
* Understanding of metadata, and term store management.
* Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate and PowerShell scripting for SPO.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business units.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Experience in public sector environments and understanding of APS frameworks.
