We are seeking a Senior Digital Content Writer/Creator to join a prominent Victorian Government entity. This role is pivotal in auditing, rewriting, and structuring website content to align with a major digital redevelopment project.
Role Overview
Pay Rate: $56.93 – $62.25 per hour + super (dependent on experience).
Location: North Geelong
Contract Length: 6-month initial contract.
Work Arrangement: Full-time (38 hours per week), starting ASAP.

As a Senior Digital Content Writer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of digital content, ensuring it is accessible, logical, and on-brand:
Content Strategy: Audit existing and legacy website content to identify gaps, duplication, and quality issues.
Information Architecture: Build and align content to a new Information Architecture, ensuring seamless user pathways.
Content Creation: Rewrite and develop new content that reflects the organization's brand narrative, translating technical material into plain language.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with policy, operational, and legal teams to gather insights and facilitate content reviews.
CMS Management: Prepare content for publishing, including metadata, tagging, and formatting.
Accessibility: Ensure all digital output meets WCAG 2.1 AA and Victorian Government accessibility requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in content strategy, digital writing, and building information architecture.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate with UX, design, and SEO specialists, as well as subject matter experts (SMEs).
Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA standards and the ability to replace complex PDFs with accessible HTML content.
Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Communications, Digital Media, or a related field are mandatory (or equivalent relevant experience).
