Join Finance Services within Community & Oral Health at Metro South Hospital and Health Service as an Assistant Business Manager. In this permanent full‐time opportunity (x2 positions), you'll provide high‐level financial and management accounting support, partnering with leaders to drive performance, accountability and strategic decision‐making.
About Your Role
As an Assistant Business Manager, you will support financial planning, reporting and compliance across Community & Oral Health Services.
In This Role, You Will
* Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, including financial, activity and FTE performance against budget
* Investigate and explain variances, supporting development of mitigation strategies
* Perform general ledger reviews, reconciliations, journal entries and accrual accounting processes
* Manage cost centre maintenance, internal order creation and delegation mapping
* Support procurement, invoice processing, payroll adjustments and asset register maintenance
* Utilise systems such as S/4HANA, DSS, Excel and Power BI to deliver high‐quality financial analysis
About You
You are a commercially aware and analytically strong finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders to deliver insight and performance improvement.
You Will Bring
* Experience in financial and management accounting within a large or complex organisation
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and explain trends and variances
* Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools such as Power BI
* Experience working with enterprise systems (e.g. S/4HANA, DSS or similar ERP platforms)
* Sound understanding of financial management policies, governance and compliance requirements
* A qualification in Accounting or Business is highly regarded.

Community and Oral Health Services deliver a broad range of quality community‐based care and support services to help people improve and maintain their wellbeing and independence as well as oral health services to adults and children. We deliver a myriad of services across Metro South including Hospital in the Home, Rehabilitation, Chronic Disease, Acute Care, Dementia Outreach, Oral Health, and specialist residential care along with delivering numerous other vital community health services.
