Female Support Workers Wanted – Shepparton Region, Victoria Join a Team That Makes a Difference Are you a passionate and experienced Support Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity in the Shepparton region? We are currently seeking dedicated Female Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. About the Role As a Support Worker, you will be part of a professional and supportive team providing person-centred care to individuals living in a Supported Independent Living residential setting. This role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, and complex support needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. Available Shifts We are seeking team members who are available to work across a rotating roster that may include: Morning shifts Afternoon shifts Sleepover shifts Active night shifts Alternate weekends About Us At Cohort Staffing, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional staffing and support services to health and disability organisations across Victoria. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality support in accordance with individual care plans Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting Administer medications in line with policies and procedures Support clients with meal preparation, domestic tasks, and household routines Facilitate community access and social participation Assist with manual handling, transfers, and mobility support Complete accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports Follow organisational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Participate in training, supervision, and professional development activities Maintain client confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times Perform additional duties as required. About You You are a caring and motivated professional who: Has a genuine passion for supporting people to achieve their goals Works effectively both independently and as part of a team Demonstrates resilience and professionalism in challenging situations Has excellent communication and time-management skills Is reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional care Essential Experience and Skills Minimum 12 months’ experience in Disability, Aged Care, Nursing, or Community Services within Australia Previous experience working in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment with multiple participants and a team of support staff Experience supporting clients with complex care and behavioural support needs Medication administration experience Strong personal care skills Confidence with manual handling practices Highly Regarded Experience with hoisting and transfers Experience with PEG feeding Nursing qualifications (Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse) Qualifications Applicants must hold one of the following (or equivalent): Certificate III in Individual Support Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services Diploma in Community Services, Disability, Aged Care, Nursing, or related field Required Checks and Certifications NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check (Employee) Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Valid Australian working rights Preferred Current Driver’s Licence Reliable vehicle and Comprehensive Car Insurance Child Safety Commitment We are committed to providing a safe environment for children and vulnerable people.
