Job Opportunity at Octopus Australia
We are seeking an Associate Financial Modeller to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of the Business Intelligence unit within Strategic Finance, you will be responsible for developing insights into fund management, investment, asset management, and development businesses of Octopus Australia.
This role involves financial modelling but will have touch points throughout different parts of the business. You will gain an in-depth understanding of operating renewable assets and funds management, as well as exposure to various aspects of the energy transition currently happening in Australia.
About the Role
* Develop insights into past and forward estimates of performance for Octopus's funds by consolidating asset performance and macro inputs.
* Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis at a portfolio level to assess the impact of equity exposures in Octopus's asset portfolio.
* Maintain and operate various asset and fund level models to ensure reliability, accuracy, and suitability for use.
* Integrate financial models to provide insights supporting business decision-making.
* Onboard new assets into operating asset models post-acquisition.
* Refresh models with updates to economic, pricing, cost, and generation level inputs.
* Liaise with model auditors and make relevant changes to models.
