TheSystems Engineering Manager - Test Solutionsprovides people leadership within the Test Systems Engineering discipline, a specialization of Systems & Measurement Engineering – to enable delivery & sustaining of our New product introduction & Legacy Manufacturing test solutions.
Candidates will demonstrate excellent project & delivery management leadership and be experienced in providing clear direction for the engineering team.
They will be responsible for collaborating with Technical Leads to recruit and grow the team to ensure the right skillsets, knowledge and behaviors are maintained, and that the team retains its excellent capability.
This role will support budget and strategy development in the department.
In collaboration with technical leads, they will be responsible for technology selection and development, to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our ResMed test solutions.
Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development: Lead and inspire a team of 9+ engineers globally, coach and mentor team members, build capability through smart recruitment, targeted development, and clear succession planning.
Strategy & Delivery: Translate ResMed's vision and operational priorities into actionable strategies, develop and execute an engineering strategy, ensure delivery of new and sustaining test systems across NPI and legacy programs, collaborate with Technical Leads to prioritize and resource projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Engineering teams, partner with suppliers, represent the Test Engineering team in technical reviews and strategic planning discussions.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Foster innovation in test technology, automation, and data analytics, champion adoption of modern design-for-test (DFT) and design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles, drive initiatives to enhance team efficiency and digital integration.

Qualifications and Experience
Education: Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, or related Engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in engineering and people leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing, test, or systems environments; strong collaboration, communication, and influence skills; proven capability in managing diverse deliverables across multiple projects.
Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of production test system development, validation, lifecycle management; experience in DFT/DFM, automation, PCBA test systems; familiarity with regulated environments (GMP, FDA QSR, ISO).
Mindset: Strategic yet hands-on; proactive in problem-solving; passionate about enabling others to succeed and fostering an inclusive, high-performance team culture.
