As a senior electrical technician, you will play a pivotal role in the construction and maintenance of zone substations and distribution assets. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these critical infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Construction and maintenance of zone substations and distribution equipment
* Installation, commissioning, and testing of associated zone substation and distribution equipment
* Carrying out switching operations associated with high and low voltage engineering services
* Inspecting, testing, and reporting the nature and condition of network assets to maintain quality standards
* Testing, commissioning, and liaising with the ASPs and capital/major projects team
* Accessing and using computerised systems to operate remote equipment
* Being available and participating in standby and after-hours duties
* Operating plant and equipment associated with zone substations and distribution equipment in a safe manner
About You:
As a qualified electrical technician with hands-on experience in substation operations, you will possess strong technical and communication skills. You must be committed to safety and thrive in a team environment.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Diploma in ESI-Power System with preferred electives in protection and testing or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
* Drivers licence
* WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
* Qualified Supervisors Certificate
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously
* Basic skills in computer operations and ability to use device software
* Sound communication and interpersonal skills to communicate electronically in writing and liaise with stakeholders and customers amicably
