Atlassian is looking for talented Developers to join one of our Sydney engineering teams (i.e., Jira Server, Jira Cloud, Growth, etc.). Atlassian's engineering team is responsible for shaping the future by helping thousands of teams worldwide get work done. As a Developer, you are well into your career, exceptional at your craft, and eager to learn and hone your skills. We emphasize leveraging your expertise in one or more tech stacks while still supporting your growth. We don't expect you to be an expert from day one, but we'll help you get on the right path towards becoming one.
Don't have Java experience? No problem We hire engineers who demonstrate the ability to learn and keep up with emerging technologies. While our primary stack is in Java, we also use Kotlin, Python, and Ruby. During the interview, you can code in the language you're most comfortable with, to best showcase your skills.
In this role, you'll get the chance to:
* Drive projects independently, from technical design to launch
* Apply architectural standards to new projects
* Contribute to code reviews and documentation, and handle complex bug fixes
* Begin writing technical documentation and learn to code in Java
What we expect on your first day:
* Experience with a prominent programming language such as Java, Python, C#, C/C++, or Ruby
* Deep understanding of data structures and problem-solving skills
* Passion for collaboration, tackling hard problems, and asking questions
