Trade Trainer Opportunity
A permanent, full-time role has become available with a renowned training provider in the construction and engineering sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced trainers or skilled tradespeople seeking to transition from hands-on work.
As a trade trainer, you will be based at home and travel to regional schools to deliver learning experiences to secondary students pursuing entry-level trade qualifications.
You will join a successful team of trainers who share a passion for skills transfer and enjoy ongoing support, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Duties include:
* Organizing and delivering training and assessments to students, along with associated administrative tasks.
* Inducting students and school representatives into the enrollment process, explaining procedures and demonstrating online tools.
* Liaising with secondary school teachers, principals, students, government bodies, and industry associations to discuss training methods and progress.
* Responding to student inquiries, providing coaching, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality services.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of training resources and work processes as part of a collaborative team effort.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Eligibility to obtain a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).
* Experience or qualification in construction or metal-based trades.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to complete this qualification).
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to proactively identify and resolve issues for stakeholders.
* Confidence using computers and adapting to new technologies.
* Willingsness to travel to regional schools when necessary to deliver training and assessment services, as well as attend events within the region.
