You’ve probably worked places where IT is treated like an afterthought, old laptops, dodgy Wi-Fi, and users who think “cloud” means the weather. This isn’t one of those places.

What you’ll actually be doing
Helping staff when things don’t work (hardware, software, accounts — the usual suspects).
Setting up current people with everything they need and taking it back when they move on.
Keeping the equipment and systems patched, updated, and behaving.
If you’re Level 2: dealing with the gnarlier stuff, servers, networks, and those jobs Level 1 doesn’t want to touch.
Writing things down so the same problem doesn’t come back to haunt you.

Who they want
Someone who knows their way around Windows, Office 365, and a network that occasionally sulks.
A calm head when dealing with colleagues who are already annoyed their email isn’t working.
For Level 2: more depth — servers, troubleshooting, connectivity issues, basically going beyond “turn it off and on again.”
Common sense. Always underrated.

This is the kind of role where you’re not just the “IT person” hidden in the corner, you’ll be visible, valued, and part of something bigger.
