KMH Workforce is currently looking for a Senior Field Assistant for an exploration project near Kalgoorlie, WA. Kicking off in the middle of April, this project is expected to run until the end of September, working on a 2/2 roster across the duration.
What You'll Be Doing Take a site-based leadership role overseeing and maintaining all Field based activities for RC and DD drilling programs. This includes safety, production and contractor management.
* Work effectively in a team alongside a Senior Geologist to lead and manage drill programmes that include 3 RC rigs and one DD rig.
* Providing senior field supervision leadership with oversight over multiple drill rigs and field teams.
* Facilitate efficient and detailed handovers for multiple rig teams.
* Overseeing field sampling practices and procedures, maintaining robust QA/QC protocols.
* Coordinate preparation of samples for delivery to Laboratories.
* Coordinating drilling contractors, Earthworks and other site-based service providers.
* Provide guidance and assistance to field technicians on site.
* Ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
* 10+ years of experience.
* Demonstrated experience leading field teams and managing active drilling programmes with multiple rigs.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead by example and manage teams.
* Proficiency in RC and DD experience and supervision.
* Strong QA/QC discipline and sample data management.
* Experience working in WA environments — self-sufficient and solutions-focused.
* Current C-class driver's licence and valid First Aid certificate.
