Empower Families and Communities
We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to play a vital role in building partnerships, identifying systemic barriers, and co-designing community-led strategies.
* Establish strong relationships with community groups, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance opportunities for families
* Collaborate on initiatives that improve access to services and community supports by identifying and addressing systemic barriers
* Facilitate workshops and capacity-building initiatives to strengthen community engagement and promote inclusive practices
* Support culturally informed responses, including partnerships with Aboriginal organisations to empower diverse communities
The successful candidate will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Health Promotion, Psychology, Social Work, or an associated field
* Experience in identifying systemic barriers for young people and families working towards achieving meaningful community connections
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, including experience in community engagement and collaborative partnerships
* Proven ability to facilitate workshops or training sessions to stakeholders and colleagues
* Current Victorian driver's licence
