Description This role forms a key part of the development and delivery of environmental support to residents and businesses across the region, and consists of a mix of operational and strategic environmental health work: Develop, implement, and manage environmental health and sustainability programs. Oversee and enforce environmental health regulations within the organisation. Provide expert advice on ESG matters to stakeholders and the wider community. Conduct environmental health risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies. Lead public education and awareness initiatives on environmental health issues. Collaborate with external agencies to advance environmental health goals. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the implemented sustainability programs. Champion the organisation's environmental health and sustainability mission. Profile A successful Senior Environmental Health Officer should have: A degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field. Proven experience working in environmental health within the public sector. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive ESG initiatives. Strong knowledge of environmental health legislation and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and the community.
