An exciting long-term contract opportunity is available for an experienced Graphic Designer to join a collaborative Governance and Design team within Stakeholder Management.
This role is ideal for a creative all-rounder who enjoys translating complex information into clear, engaging visual content across print and digital platforms, while working within established brand and government guidelines.
The Role You will play a key role in delivering high quality creative solutions that support stakeholder and community engagement initiatives across the North Coast Region.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and delivering visually compelling design solutions aligned to strategic objectives
* Providing expert design and digital communication advice to executives and stakeholders
* Translating complex information into clear, effective visual outputs
* Designing and producing a broad range of materials including publications, brochures, newsletters, maps, presentations, social media content and digital and print advertising
* Managing multiple projects and competing priorities using team systems and project management tools
* Liaising with external suppliers to coordinate outsourced production and ensure brand consistency
* Applying a customer centred approach to meet quality, time and budget requirements
* Contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards
* Collaborating with graphic design teams across the Department to ensure a consistent design approach
* Staying up to date with emerging design trends and creative technologies
Mandatory requirements:
* Minimum five years' experience as a graphic designer across graphic, digital, visual or creative design
* Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
* Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro, plus Microsoft Office
* Demonstrated ability to produce innovative, contemporary design solutions for complex communication needs
* Experience delivering high quality creative work within large corporate or government environments
* Proven ability to work in fast paced, high volume environments
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
* Experience working within corporate branding and style guidelines
* Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
* Knowledge of Government processes and policies
Desirable:
* Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards, including accessible PDFs and Word documents
* Experience using workflow or project management tools such as Asana
* Additional skills in videography or animation
