WHS Coordinator Job Description
This is a dynamic role where you will play a key part in maintaining a strong safety culture and supporting operational teams to lift safety performance. You will work closely with the WHS team to identify risks, implement practical controls and promote a proactive approach to safety.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of WHS legislation and standards, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. They will be confident working on site and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver WHS support, coaching and guidance across site operations
* Develop and deliver training packages, inductions and competency programs
* Coordinate risk assessments, hazard identification and control implementation
* Assist with incident investigations and corrective action close-out
You will also be responsible for supporting emergency response planning, training and drills, as well as maintaining WHS documentation, systems, records and reporting. Excellent communication skills are essential to communicate safety performance through toolbox talks and routine meetings.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in mining or heavy industry
* Cert IV in WHS + Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Understanding of WHS legislation, standards and site-based procedures
