We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team, with experience in heavy machinery maintenance/repairs. This role encompasses machinery diagnostics, repairs and servicing, fuel run onsite, operating machines, and performing various mechanical tasks.
Good mechanical knowledge is essential; our fleet includes Drill Rigs, Piling Rigs, Telehandlers, Excavators, Skid Steers and all attachments, augers, etc, which you will be required to handle, fix and maintain.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect vehicle/plant engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
* Conduct maintenance work (replacing fluids aiming to vehicle and plant functionality and longevity. Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues, eg. Leaks).
* Operate a variety of machinery and vehicles.
* Train and mentor new operators to ensure their success and safety.
* Liaise with management to coordinate and optimize logistics and transportation activities.
* Work autonomously to make informed decisions that contribute to the overall efficiency of works.
Qualifications:
* HR/HC driving experience is favorable.
* Background in mechanics, fitting, or boilermaking.
* Comprehensive knowledge of machinery and mechanical systems.
* Ability to work independently and lead a team.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on approach.
