As an
Account Manager
with
Jane Morgan Management (JMM)
, you will play a strategic role in overseeing, developing, and executing sophisticated investor and media relations campaigns and deliverables, servicing a range of (primarily) ASX-listed clients and across a diverse range of sectors.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive teams leading these companies, ensuring that the clients are well-positioned in the public eye and consistently represented across both the capital markets and media landscapes in Australia and even abroad.
The Account Manager role at JMM requires a highly organised, time-efficient, dynamic, and proactive professional with a proven track record working in media, communications, marketing, or even direct experience in investor relations. The role requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, speed and flexibility, and the ability to manage complex projects from strategy through to execution in an effective and efficient manner.
A strong interest in capital markets and investing, and a desire to work in this space specifically will be highly desirable for this position. If you are an avid investor yourself, this role is highly complementary to learning and networking within the Australian capital markets space.
Key Responsibilities
As an Account Manager, you will have several responsibilities relating to both client companies and relationships, sales and business development, planning and devising key deliverables, managing partnerships and other contributors, as well as the day-to-day operations within JMM itself.
Working under the direction and mentorship of both Jane Morgan (JMM's Founder & Director), as well as senior Account Directors in the team, the Account Manager's key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Communications & Messaging
* Devise, refine and elevate clients' investment narratives in alignment with their corporate strategy, market conditions, and investor sentiment.
* Plan and develop public-facing communications collateral, including but not limited to ASX announcements, investor presentations, media releases, speech and webinar notes, FAQs, and website content.
* Work with creative partners and third-parties (e.g., media outlets, journalists, etc.) to produce visual content and company collateral, including but not limited to infographics, promotional videos, interviews, animations, and social media assets.
* Craft strategic messaging, while testing for effectiveness and alignment, ahead of key announcements or capital events (e.g. IPOs, M&A, capital raisings, etc.).
Investor Relations Campaigns
* Lead the development and execution of targeted investor relations campaigns to support client companies' capital markets objectives, including retail and institutional engagement strategies, as well as devise the deliverables required to execute.
* Coordinate investor communications, monitor investor sentiment and public forums, and manage incoming queries from existing or prospective shareholders where possible.
* Facilitate introductions for clients to brokers, fund managers, retail investors, and other key stakeholders in the investment scene through events and roadshows.
* Monitor market and shareholder activity to inform ongoing communications strategy with investors, the media, and the public.
* Monitor and react to significant challenges and crisis situations for clients wherever possible.
Media Relations & Publicity
* Build and manage relationships with key financial journalists, editors, and media outlets across mainstream, trade, and financial publications.
* Secure media opportunities and interviews for client executives, including working with client company representatives to prepare talking points, media briefings, conduct media training, and devise overarching media strategies.
* Proactively seek media coverage that is aligned with clients companies' communications and publicity goals, as well as monitor sentiment and coverage in the public (e.g., in the media, on public forums, etc.).
* Assist with crisis communications, reputation management, media training, and sensitive media issues wherever possible.
Event Management
* Plan and deliver a variety of in-person and virtual events for both JMM and its client companies, including but not limited to investor briefings, shareholder meetings, site tours, webinars, media partner events, conference appearances, and investor roadshows.
* Provide on-the-ground support for client representatives during live presentations, interviews, Q&A sessions, etc.
* Manage logistics, invitations and promotional efforts, advertisements and creative assets, scripts, technical production (e.g., webinar logistics, audio/video, presentations, etc.), and post-event follow-ups and business development opportunities.
Project Management & Campaign Execution
* Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary projects and creative briefs, collaborating with photo/video, graphic, digital, and other production partners.
* Oversee the execution of investor and marketing campaigns across email, digital promotion, social media, content platforms, etc.
* Ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met for all deliverables in a time- and resource-efficient manner.
* Maintain a strong understanding of ASX compliance and disclosure obligations throughout planning and execution of campaigns, as well as while crafting or devising briefs for key deliverables to be made.

* A digital native with technical skills and creative capabilities – able to work with (or quickly learn) new software, digital platforms, audio-visual, creative/design tools, artificial intelligence, and more.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Technical Skill Requirements (or Willingness to Learn)...
* Core skills with digital office and administration software for email, documents, and more is absolutely critical (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
* A more advanced skillset with office software is highly desirable, or will be required to develop with time (e.g., beyond the basics of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
* Some experience with creative software and platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.),

to be an expert and replace our creative team members, but to tweak and make adjustments to assets or devise quick creatives where necessary.
* Some experience with the basics of website platforms will be highly desirable (e.g., WordPress, Wix, etc.),
not
to be an expert or replace our web development team, but to make adjustments to messaging and website copy quickly where necessary.
* Experience with AI tools to enhance productivity, whilst maintaining an awareness and commitment to operating within guidelines for appropriate use at all times (e.g., for sensitive client information).
* Experience with CRM and Email Marketing platforms will be highly desirable (e.g., HubSpot, MailChimp, etc.).
Personal Interest in (or Understanding of)…
* Finance, investing, and capital markets or the stock market.
* The Australian financial and investment landscape, with a focus on publicly-listed companies and capital markets.
* ASX disclosure requirements and corporate governance frameworks for publicly-listed companies.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of experience in some aspect of media, communications, or marketing, with any relevant or domain-specific interest or experience being highly regarded (e.g., investor relations, financial PR, corporate communications, corporate journalism, etc.).
* Experience working directly with ASX-listed companies, or working in an environment with ties to the capital markets space (e.g., investors) will be highly regarded.
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Finance, Journalism/Media, Business, or a related field is absolutely not required, but will be highly regarded.
* Existing media connections and investor networks will be highly regarded.
* Proficiency with platforms such as the ASX platform, Bloomberg, email marketing tools, creative/graphic design tools, video production tools, website management/design tools, and other communication-focused tools will be highly regarded (see Core Competencies & Attributes section for specifics).
