Job Title: Network Administrator

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the site's network infrastructure, contributing to system enhancements by researching and identifying appropriate IT resources, and assisting in the adaptation of existing programs to meet user needs. They will also provide training to administration staff, offer support through personal tuition and self-help instructions, and monitor system performance, troubleshoot IT issues, and coordinate system updates to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the site's network infrastructure and ensure its optimal performance
* Contribute to system enhancements by researching and identifying appropriate IT resources
* Assist in the adaptation of existing programs to meet user needs
* Provide training to administration staff and offer support through personal tuition and self-help instructions
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot IT issues, and coordinate system updates to ensure operational efficiency
Requirements:
* Demonstrated skills and experience in administering a computer network and facilitating access to applications
* Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and other information technology resources
* Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to work with limited supervision and prioritise duties in a demanding environment
* Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills relevant to computer support
* Demonstrated well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with users on issues relevant to network administration
* Demonstrated well-developed written communication skills with the ability to develop and implement user-training procedures

Eligibility:
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting
* Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or an equivalent level of skills, knowledge, and experience
* Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
