Job Opportunity: Soil Carbon Specialist
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our soil carbon program in Australia. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining open communication with stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have strong networks in agriculture, significant years of experience, and a deep understanding of carbon farming, the ACCU Scheme, and mixed farming systems. They will be willing to travel regionally and work collaboratively with farmers, advisors, and regulatory bodies to develop high-integrity carbon projects that support agricultural productivity and sustainability reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Develop new business and maintain open communication with stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a reliable source of information, connecting the team with various stakeholders, including farmers, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
* Project Development: Provide leadership in the development of carbon projects, ensuring they are science-based and produce high-integrity carbon credits.
* Data and Insights: Provide timely, high-quality data and insights to the soil carbon team and management.
* Relationship Management: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and external partners to optimize project performance.
* Team Leadership: Lead and support the soil carbon team in communication, setting priorities, and providing information to landholders.
* Professional Development: Promote continuous improvement, uphold HSSE values, and be willing to travel for representation and participation in events.
