Responsibilities
As a Procurement Professional in government, you will be required to:
* Work with business areas to undertake their procurement and contract management activities that enhance opportunities for collaboration, supplier innovation and service delivery improvements
* Assist in driving value for money outcomes through compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks
* Manage hands‐on procurement and contract management processes from end to end
* Maintain an understanding of the Procurement Policy Framework and other financial policies, procedures and guidelines to which the team operates
Qualifications and Experience
Given the requirements of our clients, we are looking for candidates that already have established experience in procurement and/or contract management in Commonwealth Government. An active security clearance (Baseline minimum) is also required.
* A strong understanding of the PGPA Act and CPRs
* The ability to prioritise work tasks effectively within a dynamic and fast paced environment
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multi‐task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
* The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing including minutes, reports and other complex correspondence
A strong procurement and/or contract management candidate will often have a Cert IV in Government Procurement and Contract Management.
To be eligible to work in federal government, you must be an Australian citizen.
Salary / Rate
Salaries will be dependent on the enterprise agreement of the government department/agency. An approximate salary range at each level is:
* APS5: $80k – $95k + Super
* APS6: $95k – $115k + Super
* EL1: $115k – $140k + Super
Location requirement: Candidates must be located in Canberra.
