About the position: Directly reporting to the Regional Group Finance Business Partner, the Senior Management Accountant will assist in providing financial and commercial support to the Regional Business Group. The Senior Management Accountant position is a full-time permanent role based in Dandenong, with occasional travel as required to support ongoing process improvement and the delivery of operational financial targets.
Responsibilities
* Month end processes, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
* Engagement with operations to assist in understanding key performance drivers
* Provide analysis and commentary on variances to budgets and forecasts
* Support the overall forecasting and budgeting process
* Preparation of budgets and forecasts for assigned business segments
* Support continuous review and improvement of month end processes to streamline month end reporting timelines
* Review and documentation of month end processes to ensure timely preparation of financial reports for key stakeholders in the business
Knowledge & Experience required
* University degree in Accounting or similar
* CA or CPA membership
* Previously demonstrated experience in commerce or professional firm, construction materials industry highly regarded
* Experience in ERP systems and MS Office
* 5+ years of experience in a similar financial role
