Local Area Coordination Team Lead
About the Role:
This full-time permanent position is responsible for leading and developing a team of Local Area Coordinators. The role involves reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the best outcomes for NDIS participants.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a team leadership role, with a proven ability to build strong relationships, develop community awareness, and promote individual needs and skills.
The key responsibilities include:
* Understanding and commitment to the values and objectives of the NDIS
* Ensuring high-quality & consistent service to NDIS participants
* Tracking and delivering on set KPIs and business outcomes
* Providing ongoing professional guidance and mentoring to your team
* Working directly with NDIS participants to support the achievement of their goals and establish integrated community awareness
* Supporting and promoting individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities
You will also be expected to:
* Demonstrate commitment to social justice principles and a 'fair go for all'
* Have a clear understanding and knowledge of options in the local community for social and economic participation for people with a disability, their families, and carers
* Be well-developed in communication, customer service, time management, and prioritisation skills
* Hold a valid Working With Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, and be able to successfully complete a PEP check
