Job Description
Baltimore County seeks a qualified project manager to manage, communicate, and coordinate public safety projects.
The ideal candidate should have experience in managing office of information technology (OIT) projects and day-to-day operations.
Experience with public safety and a PMI PMP certification are required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Manage IT project work.
* Oversee day-to-day project management, address issues, and recommend mitigation strategies.
* Ensure work aligns with scope, requirements, and is on time and budget.
* Identify critical paths, tasks, dates, and testing criteria; suggest efficiency improvements.
* Monitor and resolve issues for status reports.
* Exhibit strong writing and oral communication skills.
* Prepare meeting agendas and handouts.
Minimum qualifications:
* 7+ years of successful project management experience with large, high-profile projects.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* PMI project management professional certification.
* Experience in business process, software, and/or hardware implementation using waterfall or agile methodologies.
* Creation and management of project documentation (SDLC and PMI).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word.
* Executive-level presentation and communication skills.
* Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities.
