Mater Private Hospital Townsville are seeking experienced Anaesthetics Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative Services team.
We can offer great flexibility within your employment, being open to either Permanent Part/ Full Time and Casual– Choice the employment that suits you and your lifestyle Shifts range from 6:15AM – 6:00PM where you will be based at our Pimlico campus.
The Perioperative Services department at Mater Private Hospital Townsville (MPHT) provides surgical services across 16 theatres and caters for adults and paediatrics with a variety of surgical specialities. MPHT boasts brand new state of the art theatre facilities, a catheterization laboratory, separate onsite day site surgery facilities as well as newly implemented robotic surgery involving the da Vinci Surgical System.
Our Perioperative Registered Nurses use extensive experience to provide essential support to our patients and Clinical Nurses in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the department and assist with the progression of service improvement.
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care while acting as patient advocate
* Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients during perioperative journey
* Provide effective management of post anaesthesia and postoperative complications
* Working collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every time
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you

* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
* Experience working as an anaesthetics nurse
* Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision making skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
