What You Will Be Working On
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
13. Coordinating and administering the City's Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades and Bush Fire Control Officers.
14. Developing, monitoring, and reviewing policies and procedures to support the City's emergency services.
15. Promoting hazard identification and risk management to protect our volunteer firefighters.
16. Ensuring strict compliance with the City's Bush Fire Brigades Local Law.
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
To excel in this role, you should possess:
17. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Chief Bush Fire Control Officer or similar role.
18. Accreditation as a Level 1 Incident Controller and Fire Control Officer training.
19. Experience in leading and coordinating Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades.
20. Expertise in risk management, particularly in community vulnerability planning.
21. Proficiency in developing and monitoring emergency management plans.
22. Work Safe WA Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card) - Desirable.
23. A current C Class Drivers Licence.
24. A current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain one.
