They are committed to balancing social, economic, and environmental outcomes, offering a collaborative workplace, flexible arrangements, and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects shaping Canberra's future.About the Role:Reporting to the Director of Work Health and Safety, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the Agency's commitment to the health, safety, and wellbeing of its people. You'll design and deliver WHS policies and wellbeing programs aligned with legislative requirements and strategic objectives, fostering positive partnerships across the organisation to embed a proactive safety culture.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement WHS and wellbeing policies, procedures, and initiativesOversee continuous improvement of the Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS)Provide expert advice and recommendations on WHS matters to leadership and staffBuild and maintain proactive partnerships to enhance safety outcomesDevelop briefings and reports for executive and board-level stakeholdersDeliver WHS training and contribute to the staff induction programSupport compliance monitoring, including onsite safety inspectionsUtilise systems to document, manage, and report WHS mattersSkills and Experience:Extensive experience in work health and safety and wellbeing across diverse environmentsStrong knowledge of WHS legislation and its practical applicationProven ability to develop and implement safety policies and initiativesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and time-critical projectsExperience delivering WHS training and reporting to executive leadershipQualifications:Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (mandatory)Current Driver's Licence (Class C, mandatory)Eligibility/Other Requirements:Work Rights: Must have valid Australian working rightsPre-employment Checks: May include Reference Checks, National Police Check, Worker Screening Checks, and Working with Children Check as requiredHow to Apply:To apply for this opportunity, please submit your application to Connie at Talent International by clicking the "APPLY NOW" button.
