We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team, with a strong focus on building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, operational support for cloud infrastructure, and driving DevOps practices across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of AWS environments, while enabling development teams to deliver applications faster and more reliably. You will play a key role in designing and managing infrastructure automation, supporting incident resolution, and maintaining high availability of production services.
As a senior member of the team, you will champion cost-aware engineering practices, ensuring infrastructure follows a least-cost model while maintaining performance, security, and compliance. You will also play a key role in supporting security audits, providing technical evidence, ensuring CI/CD and infrastructure align with security requirements, and maintaining audit-readiness.
Required Skills:
To hit the ground running you will need;
4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations with proven expertise in managing production-grade AWS environments.
Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and management using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.
Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar frameworks to automate provisioning and configuration management.
Practical experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Nagios, PagerDuty, CloudWatch, Datadog to enable proactive detection and rapid incident response.
Proven track record of designing solutions with a least-cost model approach, optimizing compute, storage, and network utilization without compromising on availability or security.
Experience with container orchestration platforms (EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes) including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration with scripting expertise (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation and operational tasks.
Demonstrated ability in incident response and operational support, including root cause analysis, service restoration, and building resilient runbooks.
Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, Vault), and encryption.
Familiarity with scaling and load balancing mechanisms (Auto Scaling Groups, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudFront) for high availability.
Strong collaboration skills, able to work in Agile/Scrum teams across multiple time zones.
Preferred: exposure to MS365 administration, CRM/ERP integrations, or support for internal business applications.
Principle Accountabilities:
Support and optimize production and staging environments, ensuring cost efficiency, uptime, and reliability.
Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate secure, repeatable, and reliable software delivery.
Operate with a least-cost model mindset, continuously analyzing AWS resource utilization and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
Manage and improve infrastructure automation to streamline provisioning, scaling, and configuration.
Deploy and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Nagios, PagerDuty, CloudWatch, etc.) for proactive incident management.
Deploy and maintain security measures involving securing VPC, end point security for instance with help of third-party solutions like FortiGate, palo alto, Vectra etc.
Solutions implementing centralized logging
Realtime intrusion detection tools and solution both inhouse / third party.
Lead incident resolution, ensuring quick recovery, accurate root cause analysis, and preventative measures.
Embed audit readiness into CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated security and compliance checks.
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to embed DevOps and operational excellence into workflows.
Document runbooks, deployment procedures, and infrastructure diagrams to support knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
Mentor junior engineers, conduct reviews, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Stay current with DevOps, AWS cost optimization strategies, and compliance standards, recommending improvements and tooling
