Job description ABOUT Inala multicultural festival
The Inala Multicultural Festival is a free, one-day event (30th June) bringing together families and communities through multicultural performances, delicious food, rides and diverse market stalls. Now in its fourth year, the festival continues to grow, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all backgrounds to come together.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Inala Community House is seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help deliver this much-loved event.
Volunteers will support a range of activities across the day, including:
* Assisting at the event information tent
* Providing directions and helping attendees navigate the site
* Monitoring lines and supporting ride areas
* Supporting general event operations
* Assisting with set-up or pack-down
Volunteers need to be over 18 or accompanied by an adult.
Time required
Shifts are approximately 2 hours in length, making it easy to get involved without committing your whole day. Volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the festival before or after their shift, so you can soak up the atmosphere, explore the stalls and take in the performances.

Training
To help you feel prepared and confident, you’ll receive a short briefing ahead of the event outlining your role and what to expect on the day. During the festival, there will be an on-ground contact available for support, and where possible, volunteers will be paired with a buddy so you’re never going it alone.
