Location: Queenstown, Tasmania

Position Type: Permanent, full‐time shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 pro rata, per annum (+ employer 12% superannuation contribution). Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Visa sponsorship and relocation support available for eligible UK/IE candidates.

The Position

As Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you will work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide clinical and operational leadership across inpatient and emergency services.

Key responsibilities include:

* Coordinating day‐to‐day patient care activities and supporting patient flow.
* Providing high‐level clinical knowledge and acting as a resource and role model for staff.
* Supporting the NUM in managing staffing, resources, and service delivery.
* Promoting a collaborative, professional team environment and a positive workplace culture.
* Assisting with the development and review of protocols, guidelines, and quality improvement strategies.
* Identifying and mitigating clinical risks and supporting safety and compliance initiatives.

You Will Need

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Clinical Leadership: Demonstrated experience in the relevant practice area, with the ability to provide clinical leadership and work with minimal supervision.
* Operational Insight: Understanding of patient flow, discharge planning, and resource management within a contemporary healthcare framework.
* Teamwork & Communication: Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and support a multidisciplinary team.
* Quality & Risk Awareness: Strong understanding of clinical risk, safety and quality systems, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
