About the Site
The Danny Frawley Centre is a brand new state of the art purpose built facility in Melbourne's south east creating a place of belonging for anyone who steps foot in the doors. The centre's holistic approach to health and wellbeing is evident in the high level of engagement and interaction, customer experience, access and inclusion along with evidence-based services provided in the centre. Patrons are provided with the opportunity to attend a number of programs suitable for all ages including swimming classes, recreational swimming, group fitness classes, hydrotherapy services, an elite recovery centre and a health club.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team. The lifeguards will be responsible for the day-to-day pool operations within our facility and ensuring that all areas both in and surrounding our pools are a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You should have a passion for safety around the water, be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun, and possess outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. If you have a swim teacher qualification this would be highly regarded.
Skills & Attributes
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
* Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the teamCurrent First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
* National Police Check
* Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
* Current Pool Operations Certificate is not essential but highly regarded
