Role and responsibilities
- Lead curriculum design and delivery in the Science learning area, with a strong understanding of SCSA requirements.
- Champion instructional coaching and staff development, fostering collaborative skilled growth.
- Promote evidence-based teaching practices using an instructional model grounded in Explicit Direct Instruction and the Science of Learning.
- Actively embrace and champion the Positive Behaviour in Schools (PBiS) initiative to foster a supportive and respectful learning environment.
- Drive curriculum and assessment differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Lead data-informed decision making, using performance data to guide operational planning and targeted interventions.
- Model and cultivate personal attributes of resilience, determination and reflective practice.

Eligibility and requirements
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
