Are you a detail-oriented Data Analyst seeking a rewarding 3-month contract opportunity within a highly regarded public sector team? We're partnering with a government organisation to find an experienced data analyst to support the finance team in preparing procurement reporting notes for year-end financial statements, in line with Treasurer's Instructions Accounting Policy Statements (APS 101k).

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to prepare procurement reporting notes under APS 101k.
- Analyse large financial datasets, focusing on expenditure from contracts over $55,000 (including GST).
- Compare and reconcile procurement and financial data to ensure accuracy, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare financial disclosures, categorising expenditure into SA or Non-SA Business categories.
- Maintain supporting documentation to ensure audit compliance and meet standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in data analysis and modelling, with the ability to manage large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Database and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate data insights clearly.
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst/Modeller in a large commercial or government setting (preferred).
- Financial accounting knowledge.
- A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to work.
