Here, you'll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.**The Opportunity** The Product Manager – On Prem Hosting & Database Platforms is responsible for leading the engineering capability across Crown's on premise hosting environments and enterprise database platforms.This role owns the design, engineering, optimisation and operational performance of data centre infrastructure, server and storage platforms, Azure Local environments, and enterprise database services including SQL Server and PostgreSQL. You will lead a high performing engineering team, balancing BAU reliability with transformation initiatives such as data centre rationalisation, platform modernisation and hybrid uplift, while ensuring services are secure, resilient, scalable and cost effective.This role is to be based in Melbourne.**What you'll do*** Define and execute the on prem hosting and database platform strategy, aligned to enterprise architecture and Crown's hybrid cloud roadmap.* Support data centre rationalisation, consolidation and modernisation initiatives.* Establish clear platform roadmaps, engineering standards, design guardrails and lifecycle management frameworks.* Lead, coach and develop senior engineers and engineers, setting clear priorities, sprint structures and measurable performance outcomes.* Own engineering design and delivery across infrastructure and database initiatives, from architecture through to stabilisation.* Ensure operational excellence, including availability, resilience, performance, automation, monitoring and capacity planning.* Govern incident response, root cause analysis and change management across hosting and database platforms.* Manage vendors and managed service partners, holding them accountable to SLAs, performance outcomes, architectural compliance and cost efficiency.**What you'll bring*** Extensive hands on experience designing, delivering and operating on prem and hybrid infrastructure platforms, including data centre compute, storage, virtualisation and Azure Local environments.* Demonstrated expertise managing enterprise database platforms at scale, specifically SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, patching, backup/recovery, security hardening and capacity planning.* Proven end to end delivery of infrastructure initiatives, covering solution architecture, detailed design, implementation, stabilisation and lifecycle management.* Experience leading or delivering data centre rationalisation and modernisation programs, including consolidation, platform uplift and cost optimisation.* Strong operational leadership, balancing BAU platform stability with concurrent transformation initiatives, supported by disciplined change and incident management.* Design capability across availability, resilience and disaster recovery, including clustering, failover models, backup integrity and infrastructure risk mitigation in regulated environments.* Experience operating within partner or managed service delivery models, holding vendors accountable to SLAs, delivery quality, architectural standards and cost efficiency.On top of exciting career possibilities, we offer better exposure to experiences and learning.
