About the Role:
You are a highly motivated and compassionate support worker with full and flexible availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster that includes sleepovers, active nights, weekends, and public holidays. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering high-quality support services to customers with disabilities.
* Assisting clients in their daily living activities, such as personal care, mobility, and skill development.
* Promoting community integration and supporting clients in accessing social and recreational activities.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
* Encouraging independence and empowering clients to achieve their personal goals.
* Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent ideal or willing to obtain.
* 6 months experience required—ideal for candidates ready to learn on the job, with buddy shifts provided for support.
* Require high level of fitness for manual handling.
* Have as much availability as possible, both sleepovers and active nights (must be able to work nights) and must be able to work day shifts during the weekend.
* Possess or willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWSC).
* Hold a current and valid CPR and First Aid certificate.
* Have a full driver's licence.
* Have valid work rights.
* Successfully complete the NDIS Quality, Safety & You module.
* Willing to undergo and National Police Check.
* Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
* Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
* Excellent communication skills to be the voice that resonates with others.
* Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
