We breed, produce, and market seeds for both summer and winter crops, with a strong focus on research and the development of new products and technologies.
An excellent opportunity has now become available to join our Research & Development team to assist the Plant Breeder with technical aspects of the development and identification of new sorghum varieties. Key areas of work will include field trials, nursery and glasshouse activities.
What is the job?
This role incorporates assisting the operational and germplasm development functions in the development of new and improved Canola and Sorghum varieties, which meet all the company's requirements for new Canola and Sorghum products.
You can expect to contribute to a variety of tasks in this dynamic role, including but not limited to:
* R&D Field Trials and Nurseries
* Quality Testing
* Germplasm Development
* Genomics
* Data Collection and Record Keeping
Who should apply?
If you have experience in a similar role in agriculture, seed, or a R&D setting and have strong attention to detail, enjoy working in a team with routine activities and are wanting to learn more in this area, we would like to hear from you.
Qualifications in agriculture, horticulture or a related field is desirable, however, we are happy to support training in this field for the right person.
