Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with the venue's menu and quality standards.
* Oversee daily food preparation and ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
* Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across all meals served.
* Assist with menu planning and development of new dishes when required.
* Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
* Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff and support their training where required.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas and equipment.
* Assist with portion control, food cost management, and minimising food wastage.
About You
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience working as a Cook or Senior Cook in a busy café or restaurant environment.
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
* Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
Full-time salaried opportunity with a salary of $76K-$80K plus super.
